FacilityOS is seeking an IT Manager in Toronto to lead a dedicated IT team and own secure, reliable, cost-efficient delivery of internal technology services. You will oversee onboarding/offboarding, identity and access, endpoints, business applications, SaaS governance, and vendor management, with a strong emphasis on the Microsoft 365 ecosystem and AI-enabled automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
• Eight or more years of progressive IT experience, including at least three years leading an IT team.
• Demonstrated experience operating and improving employee technology support and ITIL-aligned service management in a hands-on environment.
• Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Defender, identity and access management, SSO, endpoint management, security, and cloud operations.
• Experience managing SaaS tooling, hardware, vendors, budgets, licensing, projects, and service performance.
• Experience implementing IT controls and supporting audits in environments with SOC 2/ISO frameworks or HIPAA.
• Experience evaluating and implementing enterprise AI tools and AI-enabled SaaS capabilities in secure business settings.
• Strong leadership, judgment, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsabilités

• Translate business priorities into an IT roadmap, operating plans, policies, budgets, and service improvements.
• Lead and develop the existing IT team, set priorities, and manage contractors, service providers, and technology vendors.
• Own employee technology support and IT service management, including the support queue, service levels, escalations, major incidents, knowledge, and service reporting.
• Own onboarding and offboarding processes in partnership with HR and business leaders.
• Oversee the Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint).
• Manage identity and access across business systems (SSO, MFA, provisioning, privileged access, access reviews).
• Own endpoint and hardware lifecycle management, including procurement, provisioning, compliance, inventory, support, recovery, and secure disposal.
• Manage SaaS governance, licensing, renewals, vendors, and cost optimization.
• Maintain secure, lean IT operations, including integrations, reliability, backup/recovery, and continual improvement.
• Support Information Security with IT controls, audit evidence, testing, and remediation activities.

About the Role

The IT Manager will lead an existing IT team and own the secure, reliable, and cost-effective delivery of internal technology services. This is a hands-on leadership role covering employee support, onboarding and offboarding, identity and access, endpoints, business applications, SaaS governance, and vendor management.

Our environment is built primarily around the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. AI is an important part of the role from an IT management perspective, with responsibility for approved platforms, access, security, cost, and IT automation. The role is a full-time, permanent, on-site position based in Toronto and reports to the VP, Information Security and Privacy.

Key Responsibilities

• Your Translate business priorities into an IT roadmap, operating plans, policies, budgets, and service improvements.

• Lead and develop the existing IT team, set priorities, and manage contractors, service providers, and technology vendors.

• Own employee technology support and IT service management, including the support queue, service levels, escalations, major incidents, knowledge, and service reporting.

• Own the technology components of onboarding, role changes, and offboarding in partnership with Human Resources and business leaders.

• Oversee the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint.

• Manage identity and access across business systems, including SSO, multifactor authentication, provisioning, privileged access, and periodic access reviews.

• Own endpoint and hardware lifecycle management, including approved standards, procurement, provisioning, compliance, inventory, support, recovery, and secure disposal.

• Manage SaaS governance, licensing, renewals, vendors, technology lifecycle, and cost optimization.

• Maintain secure, lean, and scalable IT operations, including integrations, reliability, backup and recovery, and continual improvement.

• Support Information Security with the implementation of IT controls, audit evidence, testing, and remediation activities related to IT operations.

AI Platforms and Access

• Administer approved AI platforms from an IT perspective, including licensing, access, configuration, integrations, security, privacy, vendor management, usage, and cost.

• Identify and implement AI-enabled automation within IT, including opportunities in support, request fulfillment, onboarding and offboarding, access management, knowledge, asset management, and compliance reporting.

• Manage user access to Microsoft Fabric through Entra ID and SSO and provide related IT infrastructure support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.

• Eight or more years of progressive IT experience, including at least three years leading an IT team.

• Demonstrated experience operating and improving employee technology support and ITIL-aligned service management in a hands-on environment.

• Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Defender, identity and access management, SSO, endpoint management, security, and cloud operations.

• Experience managing SaaS tooling, hardware, vendors, budgets, licensing, projects, and service performance.

• Experience implementing IT controls and supporting audits in partnership with Information Security in environments subject to SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, HIPAA, or comparable requirements.

• Experience evaluating, administering, or implementing enterprise AI tools, AI-enabled SaaS capabilities, or workflow automation in a secure business environment.

• Strong leadership, judgment, communication, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to balance strategy and hands-on delivery.

• Relevant Microsoft, ITIL, or security certifications are assets.
