Job summary

AbCellera is seeking a highly-motivated IT Helpdesk Intern to join our IT team for a 12-month term starting January 2027. The role involves providing end-user IT support, configuring new computers, managing software licenses, and maintaining hardware across Vancouver locations.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of IT education, experience with Windows/MacOS troubleshooting, and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of post-secondary education in IT/computers.

• Good working knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and measures.
• Proactive, and demonstrates initiative.

Responsibilities

• Track and respond to IT support requests from employees in person, via email, or our internal ticketing system.
• Assist with management of user accounts and subscriptions for licensed software.
• Configure new computers (install OS and software, deploying user profiles) for new employees or replacements.
• Manage printers, scanners, and general user hardware in all Vancouver locations.
• Maintain IT inventory lists.
• Troubleshoot system and network problems and help resolve hardware/software failures.
• Identify issues and engage senior IT staff where appropriate.
• Assist in ad hoc projects as needed.

How you might spend your days

We'd love to hear from you if

• You have 2+ years of post-secondary education in Network/IT/computers
• You have experience troubleshooting Windows and/or MacOS computers
• You have good working knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and measures
• You are proactive, and demonstrate initiative

What we offer

AbCellera's hiring range for this role is CAD $3,300-$4,300 per month, commensurate with your education and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We base our compensation ranges on localized market data ensuring competitive compensation. In addition to base pay, we offer a number of ways to support AbCellerites in maximizing their worklife synergy. You will have a vacation allowance as well as additional days off as part of our company-wide office closures (a real value to all!), and sick leave time while on your co-op.
