Job Duties

Responsibilities

• Manage installation, configuration, and lifecycle of on-premises and cloud servers.
• Implement security protocols and lead SOC 2 readiness and compliance.
• Deploy and maintain enterprise applications and internal tools (e.g., Geoscope, Beyond Monitoring, Beyond Asset).
• Lead configuration, QA / QC, and deployment of monitoring devices and control boxes.
• Oversee data workflows from acquisition to reporting, ensuring quality and traceability.
• Administer domain services, DNS, SSL / TLS certificates, and identity integrations.
• Manage inventory and logistics for instrumentation and electronics.
• Mentor team members and support digital transformation initiatives.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience

• 15–20 years in IT systems administration and integration.
• Minimum 5 years in a leadership role.

Technical Skills

• 10+ years with geotechnical instrumentation platforms : Geoscope, Beyond Monitoring, Beyond Asset.
• 10+ years with GTopo, Nomad Platform, Tact Nomad.
• 10+ years with Automatized Motorized Total Stations (AMTS), including configuration and remote troubleshooting.
• 10+ years with SOC 2 compliance and audit preparation.
• Expertise in Windows / Linux servers, networking (VPNs, VLANs, firewalls), DNS, and certificate management.
• Proficiency in databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL), cloud services (Azure / AWS), and scripting (PowerShell / Python).

Soft Skills

• Strong troubleshooting and documentation discipline.
• Effective stakeholder communication.
• Solid project management capabilities.

Language of Work

English and Spanish (French is a plus)
