Job Duties
Responsibilities
- Manage installation, configuration, and lifecycle of on-premises and cloud servers.
- Implement security protocols and lead SOC 2 readiness and compliance.
- Deploy and maintain enterprise applications and internal tools (e.g., Geoscope, Beyond Monitoring, Beyond Asset).
- Lead configuration, QA / QC, and deployment of monitoring devices and control boxes.
- Oversee data workflows from acquisition to reporting, ensuring quality and traceability.
- Administer domain services, DNS, SSL / TLS certificates, and identity integrations.
- Manage inventory and logistics for instrumentation and electronics.
- Mentor team members and support digital transformation initiatives.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience
- 15–20 years in IT systems administration and integration.
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership role.
Technical Skills
- 10+ years with geotechnical instrumentation platforms : Geoscope, Beyond Monitoring, Beyond Asset.
- 10+ years with GTopo, Nomad Platform, Tact Nomad.
- 10+ years with Automatized Motorized Total Stations (AMTS), including configuration and remote troubleshooting.
- 10+ years with SOC 2 compliance and audit preparation.
- Expertise in Windows / Linux servers, networking (VPNs, VLANs, firewalls), DNS, and certificate management.
- Proficiency in databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL), cloud services (Azure / AWS), and scripting (PowerShell / Python).
Soft Skills
- Strong troubleshooting and documentation discipline.
- Effective stakeholder communication.
- Solid project management capabilities.
Language of Work
English and Spanish (French is a plus)
