Your work environment at EXP

We are seeking a talented and motivated ISA Certified Arborist to join our team. This hybrid role combines arboricultural expertise with creative landscape design, supporting a variety of public and private sector projects including parks, streetscapes, infrastructure, and development planning.

What a day at EXP has in store for you
  • Conduct tree inventories, health assessments, and risk evaluations in accordance with ISA standards.
  • Prepare Arborist Reports, Tree Preservation Plans, and Tree Protection Specifications
    Collaborate with landscape architects and planners to integrate tree protection and planting strategies into design.
  • Assist in the preparation of landscape design drawings, planting plans, and construction documents.
  • Liaise with clients, municipalities, and contractors during design and construction phases
    Support permit applications and compliance with municipal tree bylaws and policies.
What your experience looks like
  • ISA Certified Arborist designation (active and in good standing).
  • Additional certifications (Tree Risk Assessment Qualification, Utility Specialist, etc.) are a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in consulting or related fields.
    Strong knowledge of Ontario tree species, urban forestry practices, and tree protection bylaws.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite; Civil 3D and GIS experience is an asset.
  • Ability to interpret and prepare technical drawings and reports.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a vehicle for site visits.
