SUMMARY
The Boiler Service Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of a wide range of boiler systems, including oil-fired, natural gas, and propane units. This role requires technical expertise in boiler operations and controls, a strong commitment to safety and compliance, and the ability to provide excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience servicing industrial, commercial, and institutional boiler systems and be proficient in working with various boiler control systems.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Service & Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on various boiler and burner systems.
- Conduct inspections and diagnostics on boilers, burners, and associated components to ensure optimal performance.
- Service and maintain boiler control systems, staying up to date with industry advancements.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, manufacturer specifications, and industry best practices.
Customer Support:
- Provide technical support to customers, addressing concerns and offering solutions for optimal boiler performance.
- Communicate effectively with clients, explaining service recommendations and required repairs.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through professional and timely service.
Safety & Compliance:
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure working environment.
- Adhere to regulatory requirements for boiler operations and servicing.
- Conduct safety checks and ensure all equipment operates safely in accordance with company policies.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Complete detailed service reports, maintenance logs, and inspection documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and any issues identified.
- Assist in reporting safety incidents or hazards as required.

PREFFERED / REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or Journeyman certification in a relevant trade.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
- Proven experience in servicing, repairing, and maintaining industrial, commercial, and institutional boilers.
- Familiarity with oil‑fired, natural gas, and propane boiler systems.
- Experience with boiler control systems and the ability to learn and adapt to different manufacturer technologies.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in problem‑solving.
- Skilled in using modern technology, including apps, tablets, and smartphones, for job‑related tasks.
