Job summary

A leading technology firm is seeking an IP Network Operations Specialist in Toronto to monitor and troubleshoot large network infrastructures. The position involves 12-hour rotating shifts with a premium for evening and weekend hours. Ideal candidates will have experience with Cisco and/or Nortel equipment and proficiency in HP Openview or CiscoWorks. CCNA/CCNE certification is a plus but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience troubleshooting large network infrastructures.
• Experience with multi-protocol and SNMP.
• Proficient with HP Openview and/or CiscoWorks.

Responsibilities

• Work in IP Network Operations for a client in Mississauga.
• Execute 12-hour rotating shifts.
• Provide surveillance of large network infrastructures.

Job description

Our Mississauga based client requires on-site IP Network Operations Specialists for one of their clients located in the 401 & 427 area. This is a contract opportunity with a possible 6 month duration.

Work 12-hour rotating shifts with a 50% premium paid for the evening and weekend shifts.

You have a minimum of one year experience troubleshooting and surveillance of large network infrastructures. Multi-protocol and SNMP working with Cisco and/or Nortel equipment switches.

Proficient with either HP Openview and/or CiscoWorks.

CCNA/CCNE would be a definite asset but not mandatory.
