Job summary

Apex Group Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented Fund Administrator in Winnipeg to handle client relationships and a variety of investment transactions. The role focuses on accuracy, timely responses, and strong collaboration with fund managers and advisors.

The position requires 3+ years in financial services and a degree in Accounting/Finance, with a preference for knowledge of fund administration. On-site work five days a week, with a discretionary bonus based on performance.

Qualifications

  • Three years’ experience in the financial services industry.
  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Accounting/Finance.
  • Knowledge of Fund Administration is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance client relationships with exceptional service.
  • Process financial and non-financial investment transactions.
  • Respond to phone and email inquiries from Advisors, Dealers, and Fund Managers.
  • Analyze complex issues to determine best course of action.
  • Produce ad-hoc reports for Fund Managers.
  • Manage approval timelines per Fund Administrator requirements.
  • Faxing trade rejects and other requests.
  • Take on additional duties as assigned.

The Role & Key Responsibilities:
  • Enhance client relationships with exceptional customer service
  • Processing financial and non-financial investment transactions
  • Respond to phone and email inquiries from Advisors, Dealers, and Fund Managers or Fund Administrators in a timely manner
  • Analyze complex issues or requests to determine best course of action
  • Producing ad-hoc reports for Fund Managers
  • Manage approval process and timelines per Fund Administrator requirements
  • Faxing trade rejects and other requests
  • Other duties as assigned
Skills Required:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance field preferred
  • Knowledge of Fund Administration (Hedge Funds, Mutual Funds, Alternative Products, and back office) is an asset
  • Three years’ experience in the Financial Services industry strongly preferred
  • Ability to work towards and meet agreed deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and also be a strong team contributor
  • Highly organized and motivated individual with an acute attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter who volunteers for new opportunities and projects
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal with effective written and verbal communications skills

Salary ranges from CAD $50,000.00 – CAD $51,000.00 plus additional discretionary yearly bonus based on corporate and individual's performance. Compensation within this range is dependent on individual's skills, experience and qualifications.
