Qualifications

• Enrolled in Bachelor's or Master's in Finance, Accounting, Financial Engineering, Economics, or Actuarial Science.
• Demonstrates strong interest in financial markets and investments.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Shows analytical rigor and critical thinking.
• Demonstrates curiosity and eagerness to learn.
• Recognized for collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
• Has advanced level of English proficiency; daily interactions with English-speaking clients.
• Knowledge of programming tools such as R, Python, or SQL (an asset).
• Holds or is pursuing CFA, CIPM, or FRM (an asset).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to Front Office activities: portfolio management, analyses of securities and asset classes.
• Participate in global multi-asset allocation decisions and macroeconomic assessment.
• Assist Middle Office with valuation, performance analysis, and risk modeling.
• Support development of valuation, optimization, and simulation models.

What You’ll Accomplish with Us

As a Young Professional, Student, or Intern, you may contribute to:

Front Office

Portfolio Management

• Conduct security, sector, and asset class analyses;
• Participate in the management of diversified portfolios, including private debt, fixed income, private and public equity, and infrastructure investments;
• Develop and program valuation, optimization, and simulation models.

Asset Allocation

• Contribute to the management of global multi-asset portfolios, including equities, fixed income, currencies, and commodities;
• Support investment decisions through rigorous macroeconomic and quantitative analysis.

Middle Office

• Participate in securities valuation and reporting processes;
• Analyze the performance of investment mandates;
• Contribute to the identification, assessment, and modeling of investment risks;
• Recommend performance indicators and support process improvement initiatives.

What Will Help You Succeed in This Role

We are looking for someone who:

• Is currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Financial Engineering, Economics, or Actuarial Science;
• Demonstrates a strong interest in financial markets and the investment industry;
• Is proficient in Microsoft Excel;
• Stands out for analytical rigor and critical thinking skills;
• Demonstrates strong intellectual curiosity and a continuous desire to learn;
• Is recognized for effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams;
• Has an advanced level of English proficiency, as the role requires daily interaction with unilingual English-speaking clients, participation in team meetings, delivery of presentations, and preparation of emails for stakeholders and partners across global financial markets;
• Has knowledge of programming tools such as R, Python, or SQL (an asset);
• Holds or is pursuing at least one recognized professional designation such as CFA, CIPM, or FRM (an asset).

The typical hiring range for this position is $23.50 to $36.50 CAD per hour. The base salary offered varies depending on years of study and the position status (student or intern).
