RBC Capital Markets’ Global Investment Banking division is seeking energetic, bright and talented individuals to join their team as an Analyst in the Metals & Mining group. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside industry-leading experts in an entrepreneurial, growth-focused environment with strong deal flow across all sectors of the industry.

What will you do?
  • Evaluating and analyzing the financial needs of corporate clients, including developing and preserving complex financial models
  • Supporting transaction structuring and execution efforts, with increasing levels of responsibility and accountability over time
  • Financial and written analysis of companies and industries
  • Contributing to the delivery of client meetings and presentations
  • Conducting research to analyze market trends
  • Researching and analyzing future opportunities
  • Contribute to the execution of equity and debt financings, mergers and acquisitions, and financial advisory assignments
What do you need to succeed?
  • Completed an undergraduate program from a leading university, with focus on business, economics, geology or mining engineering
  • 0.5-2 years of Investment Banking, Equity Research, Mid-Market M&A, or Mining Industry Experience
  • Experience in Metals & Mining Sector an asset
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment
