Job summary

Wellington-Altus in Toronto seeks an Investment Associate to support Investment Advisors with client account administration and transaction processing. You will build client relationships, provide tailored investment guidance, and ensure regulatory compliance in a dynamic wealth management environment.

The role emphasizes collaboration with advisors, accuracy in documentation, and an ability to manage multiple priorities while upholding the highest standards of confidentiality and service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years in financial services in a high-growth environment.
• 3+ years in a customer-facing role.
• Registered with CIRO as IR or RR or eligible to register.
• Commitment to continuing education requirements.
• Professional designation such as PFP or CFP is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through regular communication and proactive support.
• Assist Investment Advisors with administrative tasks and transaction processing for client accounts.
• Ensure compliance with CIRO rules, securities legislation and KYC requirements.
• Process unsolicited trades, quotes, and various account transactions (deposits, withdrawals, transfers).
• Prepare advisors for client meetings with account openings and product research.
