iA Private Wealth Inc. is seeking an Associate Portfolio Manager / Analyst to support multi-asset trading, research, and portfolio management.

You will execute trades, analyze securities, review OMs, and contribute to portfolio construction, rebalancing, and risk analysis. You will work with the PM Program to support and evaluate PMs/APMs, delivering high-quality analytics and operational support while maintaining concise investment reports and coordinating onboarding activities.

• CFA or CIM designation.
• Strong investment acumen and portfolio construction knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist Portfolio Manager in trading activity and PM pool movements.
• Conduct security research and evaluate managers/strategies.
• Review Offering Memorandums and assess strategy structure, risks and drivers.
• Contribute to multi-asset portfolio construction, rebalancing and implementation.
• Perform performance attribution, risk metrics analysis, and portfolio diagnostics.
• Provide trade execution, order management, and maintain portfolio positioning.
• Produce clear investment reports, analytics and PM recommendations.
• Develop and document PM Pool KYP assessments per program standards.
• Support PM onboarding and ad-hoc data pulls for PMs and advisors.
• Coordinate PM onboarding process and manage monthly supervision fee invoicing.
• Assist in evaluating and reporting PM performance and mandate adherence.

The Associate Portfolio Manager / Analyst will support multi‑asset trading, research, and portfolio management, executing trades, analyzing securities and alternative strategies, reviewing OMs, and contributing to portfolio construction, rebalancing, and performance/risk analysis. The role also works within the PM Program to support and evaluate iAPW’s Portfolio Managers and APMs, providing high‑quality analytical insights and operational support across mandates.

What you’ll accomplish with us?

PM Pools

• Assist the Portfolio Manager in trading activity :

movements/net cash flows (redemptions and contributions, distributions, if any). Trade execution for PM pools, legacy SMA models

• Conduct security research and evaluate managers/strategies.


• Review Offering Memorandums and assessing alternative strategies’ structure, risks, and return drivers.


• Multi‑asset portfolio construction, rebalancing, and implementing from PM directives.


• Conduct performance attribution, risk metrics analysis, and portfolio diagnostics.


• Provide trade execution, order management, and maintaining accurate portfolio positioning.


• Produce clear, concise investment reports, analytics, and recommendations for PMs.


• Lead the development, review, and documentation of PM Pool KYP assessments in alignment with program standards.

PM Program

• Respond to daily inquires from advisors


• Assist the Portfolio Manager with ad‑hoc data pulls, quick-turn analyses, presentation materials. Prepare, proof, and format documents, briefs, and presentations. Draft emails, circulate updates, and drive stakeholder follow‑ups to closure. Draft and distribute concise updates, meeting notes, and action summaries


• Coordinate the Managed Account Committee agenda, applications and overall PM onboarding process


• Manage the monthly PM supervision fee billing process by providing invoicing data to the Programs and Platforms Manager.


• Supervision of the firm’s APMs


• Assess and report on the firm’s Portfolio Managers’ performance, including evaluation of returns, risk profiles, consistency of process, and adherence to mandate expectations.

What could accelerate your success in this role

We’re looking for someone who:

• Currently registered as Associate Portfolio Manager or Portfolio Manager with a securities regulator


• Very strong investment acumen and understanding of portfolio construction principles


• Experience in portfolio allocation, portfolio rebalancing, trade execution and reconciliation


• Good knowledge of alternative investments (real estate, private equity, private debt, etc.)


• Strong understanding of the Canadian full-service wealth management space


• Undergraduate or graduate degree in finance or related fields


• CFA or CIM designation


• Must be fluent in English and French to communicate with advisors across the country


• Strong technical skills in Excel, Bloomberg/FactSet (or equivalents), and portfolio analytics tools.


• Excellent communication, attention to detail, and ability to operate in a fast‑paced PM environment.


• Intermediate proficiency in French, due to frequent interactions with French-speaking internal and external partners across Canada.

The typical hiring range for this position is between 110,000$ and 120,000$ CAD per year; the base salary offered may vary depending on knowledge, skills, years of experience, and internal equity related to the role.
