Job summary

Desjardins Group in Lévis is seeking an Investment Advisor to contribute to private debt and equity investments with international partners. You will support the investment process with financial analysis and data consolidation, helping to update best practices and the fund’s development.

The role emphasizes analytical rigor, teamwork, and the ability to work across languages while advancing impact investing in Latin America, Africa and Asia. Hybrid work arrangement is offered.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or a relevant field.
  • CFA designation or in progress is an asset.
  • At least 2 years of relevant investment experience.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office tools and Excel.
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills; detail‑oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Support investment process by collecting, consolidating, analyzing data for tracking investments and promoting funds under management.
  • Perform financial analysis related to investment opportunities.
  • Contribute to preparing financial models and related reports/analysis.
  • Participate in account reporting and external reporting activities.
  • Monitor market opportunities, potential countries, competitors and market information to aid decision making.
  • Contribute to development of fund, impact measurement and work methodologies.

Interested in sharing your investment experience with one of Canada's few international impact investment funds? As an investment advisor, you'll have a unique opportunity to work on private debt and equity investments with international financial services institutions in Latin America, Africa and Asia. In this key role, you’ll have the opportunity to closely contribute to different stages of the investment process, and to offer ideas and solutions using your financial analysis capabilities and your overall knowledge of investing. Your involvement as part of the team will allow you to increase DID’s leadership in the area of impact investing, and to directly contribute to the updating of best practices. Responsibilities
  • You support the team and the investment process by collecting, consolidating, analyzing, and interpreting data while providing the information necessary for tracking existing investments and for promoting our efforts to increase the funds under management.
  • You complete financial analysis related to investment opportunities.
  • You contribute to preparing financial models, management and follow‑up information reports/analysis on indicators and scales related to investments.
  • You participate in account reporting activities and the creation of external reports.
  • Your curiosity and your thirst for knowledge are put to use to ensure a structured monitoring of the sector in order to provide information about investment opportunities, potential countries, competitors, and any other market information that can help with decision making.
  • Your ingenuity allows you to contribute to the development and structuring of the fund, and to the development of impact measuring, and work methodologies and processes.
Requirements
  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in finance or a relevant field.
  • You have a professional designation (CFA) or are in the process of obtaining it (an asset).
  • You have at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • You are comfortable with MS Office tools and you have in-depth knowledge of Excel.
  • You stand out because of your in-depth analysis, your ability to synthesize, and your diligence.
  • No detail escapes you.
  • A team player, you’re a self‑starter and proactive thinker.
  • You don't hesitate to help your colleagues.
  • Your curiosity and agile learning skills let you identify priorities quickly in a dynamic environment with many deadlines.
  • You are able to work in at least two of the three languages used at DID (French, English and Spanish).
  • The ability to work in Spanish is a major asset.

Job-Related Working Conditions

Hybrid work arrangement (2 days in the office and 3 days working remotely).

Job level: NV‑08 Permanent, full‑time position (35 hours per week).
