National Bank Financial – Wealth Management is seeking an Investment Analyst to join a team of portfolio managers. You will analyze securities, create model portfolios, and stay informed on economic developments to support investment decisions.

The role requires a Finance degree, securities industry experience, and professional designations (CFA/CIM, CSC/CPH or CIRE). Strong communication and digital skills are essential for collaboration and client support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field required.
• Three years of experience in the securities industry.
• CSC and CPH or CIRE Canadian registrations; CFA/CIM designation preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Comfortable with technological tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and track individual stocks, ETFs, funds and other securities in portfolios.
• Create and regularly update model portfolios.
• Stay up to date on the latest economic news.
• Help managers prepare recommendations for new clients.
• Contribute to bi-monthly investment committee meetings.
• Track portfolio performance and produce financial reports.

Investment Analyst

A career as an Investment Analyst at National Bank Financial – Wealth Management, means that you’ll be part of a team of 1,000 investment advisors in the 5th largest investment brokerage firm in Canada. In this position, you’ll use your analytical mind and passion for finance to have a positive impact on our organization. Your role is to bring value to our clients by strategically managing their investments.

• Analyze and track individual stocks, exchange-traded funds, investment funds and other securities that may be included in investment portfolios


• Create and regularly update model portfolios


• Stay up to date on the latest economic news


• Help managers prepare recommendations for new clients


• Contribute actively to the preparation of bi-monthly investment committee meetings


• Track portfolio performance


• Produce financial reports

Your team

You’ll join a team of portfolio managers where you’ll play an essential role.

Prerequisites

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field


• Three years of experience in the securities industry

• CFA and/or CIM designation


• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
