Public Employment Relations Board is seeking an Investigator Senior to lead complex ULP investigations and advise parties and stakeholders on legal processes under PELRA. The role partners with PERB leadership and fellow investigators to interpret statutes and advance board policy.

This position exists to investigate public sector unfair labor practices (ULP) under the Public Employment Relations Board’s jurisdiction pursuant to the Public Employment Labor Relations Act (PELRA, Minn. Stat.
This position manages complex cases and serves as a point of contact for parties, Board members, and staff on issues related to PELRA and unfair labor practice charges.
This temporary position works closely with the PERB Executive Director/General Counsel, Board members, and other Investigators to analyze and interpret statutes, recommend actions, as well as develop and implement Board policy and decisions in the areas of ULP cases.
This position will 1) manage and conduct complex ULP charge investigations; 2) respond to inquiries related to filing a ULP charge and technical assistance; and 3) support overall agency neutrality, effectiveness, and results.
PERB stakeholders include public sector unions and their representatives, public sector employers and their representatives, public sector employees, members of the labor relations community, public officials, and members of the public.
This position is eligible for a hybrid telework arrangement. With a telework arrangement, onsite attendance will be required for team members or as requested by management to meet business needs. Completion of a telework agreement will be required. Please review the Telework Policy for details.
