Summary

Loss Prevention Agent responsible for protecting company assets and ensuring a safe environment for clients and associates through store opening and closing, audits, investigations, surveillance, and emergency response. The role supports operations and sales teams with inventory control and maintains confidentiality and compliance with health safety and privacy regulations. Candidate must hold required provincial security and first aid certifications and provide excellent customer service in a luxury retail setting.

Responsibilities
  • Open and close the store following company procedures
  • Perform operational and inventory control audits and follow up to ensure compliance
  • Support operations and sales with inventory counts and shortage programs
  • Conduct routine floor walks and CCTV monitoring
  • Conduct internal and external investigations and maintain investigation documentation
  • Apprehend shoplifters and preserve evidence and investigation notes
  • Testify at criminal proceedings as required
  • Respond to emergencies providing first aid and security procedures with detailed reporting
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of loss prevention or safety and security experience in retail
  • Valid provincial security license upon hire and maintained in good standing
  • Valid standard first aid CPR and AED certificates upon hire and maintained
  • Previous investigative and interview training an asset
  • Problem solving and de-escalation skills
  • Ability to maintain clear field notes daily and thorough investigation reports
  • Understanding of customer service expectations in a luxury retail environment
