Job summary

Artech L.L.C. in Canada seeks an Electrical Engineer to develop, model, and validate inverter control algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink; support power electronics and controls throughout product lifecycle; perform test bench setup and debugging of power electronics systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required.
  • Experience with power electronics and inverter control systems.
  • Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink for modeling and control development.
  • Hands-on test bench debugging, validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional hardware/firmware teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, model, and validate inverter control algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Support power electronics and controls development across the product lifecycle.
  • Perform test bench setup, debugging, and validation of power electronics systems.
  • Collaborate closely with hardware and firmware engineers to troubleshoot system-level issues.
  • Execute detailed hardware testing and analyze system performance.
  • Assist with PCBA updates, testing, and troubleshooting as required.
  • Support setup, operation, and training of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing platforms.
  • Document test results, findings, and engineering recommendations.
