Inventory Forecasting & Open-to-Buy Management
Forecast inventory needs across multiple product categories and banners.
Manage open-to-buy plans, ensuring financial targets and inventory levels are aligned.
Provide timely and accurate recommendations on order timing and product quantities.
Data Analysis & Reporting
Serve as an Excel expert, analyzing large data sets to guide business decisions.
Generate reports, identify trends, and present insights to support buying and operational strategies.
Evaluate sell-through performance, product productivity, and inventory risks.
Buying Support & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with senior leaders to inform buying decisions with data-driven guidance.
Provide regular updates and recommendations to buying teams on inventory flow, replenishment needs, and category demand.
Ensure alignment between inventory strategies, sales goals, and operational priorities.
Schedule and manage container shipments to support timely inventory replenishment.
Monitor lead times, inbound schedules, and potential delays, communicating impact to stakeholders.
Support the buying team in maintaining availability across all relevant categories.
Category Responsibilities
Oversee inventory planning for kids’ footwear, accessories, home goods, luggage, and bedding.
Coordinate closely with leadership team members who oversee apparel categories.
Manage replenishment and forecasting for multiple retail banners.
Retail background required, preferably in inventory planning, allocation, or merchandise planning.
Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel capabilities.
Comfort working with large volumes of data and making recommendations based on insights.
Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to influence decisions using data.
