Job description

Venor is proud to partner with Andy’s Group, the largest independent tire distributor in Atlantic Canada, in their search for an Inventory Manager to join their growing team.

With 31 retail/commercial locations across New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island, four distribution centers, and two retreading plants, Andy’s Group operates at the forefront of tires, auto service, commercial tire service, distribution, wholesale, and manufacturing. Supported by nearly 500 employees and a strong family-oriented culture, the organization continues to expand. Andy’s Group is currently advancing through a major integration of multiple companies, an exciting time of modernization, process improvement, and growth.

This is a high-impact role where the successful candidate will oversee $30–$40M+ in inventory, build forecasting and buying processes, partner with leaders across the region, and help shape the long-term inventory strategy for a complex, multi-location operation.

The Role

Reporting to the VP of Process Improvements, the Inventory Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the right products are in the right places at the right times across Andy’s Group Atlantic Canadian network. This position will sit in the Saint John head office and will work closely with the VP of Process Improvements, Store Managers, distribution centers, and internal stakeholders across the business.

This is an opportunity to step into a strategic, analytical, and operational leadership role within a high-volume distribution environment. The ideal candidate brings strong technical capability, experience managing high-value and high-variation inventory, and the confidence to work closely with store teams to drive improvements.

Key Responsibilities
Inventory Strategy & Forecasting
  • Lead strategic inventory planning for multiple distribution centers, 31 retail/commercial locations, and retreading facilities.
  • Manage purchasing cycles, including forecasting and ordering products in advance for overseas vendors.
  • Evaluate and optimize product movement, aging, and replenishment to ensure maximum availability and performance.
Operational Execution
  • Maintain oversight of $30–$40M+ in inventory using Andy’s Group’s ERP system (CoStar) and data extraction tools (Phocas).
  • Ensure the correct inventory mix is positioned across the network at the right times.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, including increasing inventory turns and minimizing slow-moving stock.
  • Partner with store managers to conduct semi-annual audits.
  • Support, coach, and provide direction to operational staff.
  • Work closely with the Process Optimization Lead, who will provide dotted-line support for ordering functions.
Data & Reporting
  • Utilize strong analytical skills and technical tools such as Excel, Power BI, Power Query, and Power Pivot to analyze trends and provide ongoing reporting to leadership.
  • Collaborate with the senior leadership team on reporting, insights, and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You

You are an analytical, strategic, and hands-on inventory professional who thrives in a fast-moving, multi-location environment. You enjoy rolling up your sleeves just as much as building dashboards and forecasts. You communicate with clarity, influence store teams effectively, and bring experience managing complex and high-value product categories.

What you bring
  • 5 + years of experience in inventory management/inventory control, or a related field.
  • Background working with high-value, high-variety products, ideally in environments similar to building supplies, distribution, or multi-location retail.
  • Advanced proficiency with data analytics and tools such as Excel, Power BI, Power Query, Power Pivot.
  • Ability to coach, collaborate with, and influence teams across multiple sites.
  • Comfort working in a hands‑on environment; open to occasional travel and store interaction.

At Venor and Andy’s Group, we embrace a culture of belonging in the workplace. No matter who you are, where you’re from, how you think, what you believe in, or who you love, we welcome your application.
