Job summary

McKesson is seeking a Senior Inventory Control Associate in Canada to support inventory accuracy, cycle counts, audits, and continuous improvement within our distribution center. You will partner with warehouse teams, Purchasing, and Accounts Payable to investigate discrepancies and maintain stock records.

You will analyze data with Excel, Power BI, and Access, while training and guiding warehouse staff on best practices to drive efficiency and accuracy in inventory processes.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires 3+ years of related experience.
  • Experience performing cycle counts, inventory audits, stock reconciliations, or inventory investigations.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, reporting, and spreadsheet management.
  • Experience identifying and resolving inventory discrepancies with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience working with warehouse systems, inventory records, and operational reporting tools.

  • Partner with warehouse operations, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, and vendors to resolve inventory issues and improve processes.
  • Support inventory best practices through training, coaching, and guidance for warehouse team members.
  • Analyze inventory data using Excel, Power BI, Access, and operational reporting tools to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

About the Role (Job Summary)

McKesson is seeking a Senior Inventory Control Associate to support inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement within our distribution center. In this role, you will partner with warehouse teams, vendors, Purchasing, and Accounts Payable to investigate inventory discrepancies, maintain accurate stock records, and support inventory control processes. You will play an important role in ensuring inventory integrity through cycle counts, audits, reporting, root cause analysis, and training support.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

Basic Requirements

Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Experience in a distribution center, logistics, healthcare distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain environment.

  • Experience using Power BI, Microsoft Access, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory reporting tools.

  • Knowledge of vendor returns, receiving claims, damaged inventory processing, and inventory recovery procedures.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Experience training, coaching, or providing guidance to operational teams.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends and recommend solutions.

Physical Requirements
  • Primarily based in a distribution center environment with regular interaction across warehouse operations.

  • Ability to walk throughout the facility and occasionally lift, move, push, or pull materials in accordance with site safety requirements.

  • Ability to conduct inventory audits and counts in warehouse storage locations.

  • May require standing, walking, bending, reaching, and using a computer for extended periods.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$23.45 - $33.14
