Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Montreal, QC is seeking a Logistics Specialist to join our Infrastructure Operations team. You will review data centre inventory, inbound shipments, and ongoing demand to maintain stock levels supporting build and repair activities.

Working with the Logistics Manager, you will plan to optimize parts flow, track location/movement/age/turnover, and collaborate with Data Centre Technicians and Engineers to fulfill parts quickly.

Qualifications

• 1+ year shipping and receiving experience.
• 1+ year inventory tracking and data analytics experience.
• Bilingual in French and English; able to read/ write complex technical instructions.

Responsibilities

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a Logistics Specialist to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team in Montreal, QC.

The Inventory and Warehouse Associate reviews Data Centre inventory, in-bound shipments, and ongoing demand to ensure that proper stock levels are maintained in all locations to support build and repair activities. Working with the Logistics Manager, they create plans to optimise the flow of parts through their life cycle; tracking inventory location, movement, age, and turns. They work closely with Data Centre Operations Technicians and Data Centre Engineers to fulfil parts quickly and accurately. They work with Procurement and Hardware Engineering to purchase new parts and interface directly with vendors to process RMAs and receive replacements. Regular and ongoing communications with vendors to resolve issues and help them understand our business requirements necessitates a high level communicator. Responsibilities can include manual tasks, such as assembling, addressing, stamping and arranging for the shipment of merchandise and materials. They may also assist in daily scheduling of deliveries and pick-ups to and from production locations. In handling incoming shipments, they may have to unpack boxes and verify contents.

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year of experience in shipping and receiving, inventory and warehousing practices
• 1+ years of experience with inventory tracking and data analytics
• Bilingual in French and English; must have the ability to read and write in English with respect to complex technical instructions and concepts
• Must be able to lift loads of up to 49 pounds and carry them for short distances
• Reach and stretch to position equipment and fixtures while maintaining balance
• A valid driver's licence is required
• Ability to provide after-hours support as needed (overtime)

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of inventory management experience
• 1+ years of material forecasting experience
• WMS/IMS proficiency
