Scope Of Position

Ensure ready finished goods to support customer production by analyzing weekly order releases against finished goods inventory and issuing purchase orders to maintain finished goods inventory targets. Support inventory reporting. Inventory shortages to HCM suppliers could result in line shutdown and significant financial and production loss for HCM.

Principal Functional Responsibilities
Processing Orders
  • Monitor and ensure finished good inventory targets are maintained and depleted stock is consistently replenished to maintain required inventory holding targets.
  • Ensure processing orders adhere to slit loss target
  • Report weekly on finished goods targets – plan versus actual
Master Delivery
  • Schedule and Track master coil deliveries, follow up with supplier on late deliveries and support resolution.
  • Provide master coil pick up instructions to Processors
  • Close Purchase orders
  • Support weekly conference calls when needed, review with Account rep for any critical supply or delivery issues.
Inventory Reconciliation
  • Generate Inventory reconciliation files by the 5th of the month
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies on master coils.
Reporting
Support And Complete The Following Reports
  • Prepare multiple reports to support month end reporting and monthly Inventory Presentation.
Customer and Account Rep Support
  • Support Inventory Account Rep. on inventory ordering and back up as required, field customer calls & requests for all areas and address immediate issues utilizing 1R 2C’s (report, consult, communicate).
Position Profile And Qualifications
  • Personal Computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in inventory, purchasing or sales administration
  • Post-secondary education in Business and/or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work under stressful situations and tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical ability, reasoning, and persuasive skills
  • Strong organization skills
  • Ability to work independently and multitask
  • Strong eye for detail, ability to identify and resolve issues
  • Strong communicator
