A community service organization in Listuguj is seeking an Intervention Support Worker to provide one-on-one support to participants facing behavioral challenges. The ideal candidate will have a background in Early Childhood Development and experience in a similar role. Responsibilities include mentoring, facilitating learning, and collaborating with professionals to enhance participants' engagement in programs. Accountable to: Listuguj Youth and Family Center
The Listuguj Youth and Family Center is seeking to employ an energetic, self-motivated and responsible individual as an Intervention Support Worker. The Intervention Support Worker will work under the direct supervision of the Listuguj Youth and Family Center Program Coordinators. The Intervention Support Worker is responsible for providing one-on-one support to participants presenting with behavioral challenges as well as those on the spectrum who may require extra support. Verbal interventions and co-regulation will be used as a means of helping return participants to their baseline during periods of dysregulation and motivate them to continue engaging in the activities being presented in our programs, services and supports. The Intervention Support Worker will provide services within the directorate with additional support to help prevent as much as possible disruptions in programming as well as to enhance participants’ overall experience in our programs.
