EIC - Experience Internship Canada is seeking motivated candidates for an International Treasury Intern – Multi-Currency Management & FX. You will support cash flow monitoring for EIC’s international activities and analyze currency needs, conversion costs and FX impacts on forecasts.

Job description

EIC (Experience Internship Canada) is looking for motivated candidates to join its teams as an International Treasury Intern – Multi-Currency Management & Foreign Exchange (FX).

You will support cash flow monitoring for EIC’s international activities. You will examine currency needs, conversion costs and the effect of exchange rate changes on forecasts.

This internship takes place in Canada, in Montreal, Toronto or Vancouver.

You will work in an international professional environment that values collaboration, initiative and learning through practical work. A supervisor will help you understand priorities and take on responsibilities as your skills develop.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cash positions: update balances and transactions across different currencies.
• Forecasting: prepare cash forecasts by currency using expected receipts and payments.
• Reconciliation: check transaction consistency and document discrepancies.
• FX analysis: track exchange rate movements and measure identified exposures.
• Costs: compare transfer and conversion charges to inform operational decisions.
• Scenarios: simulate the impact of exchange rate changes on budgets and cash flows.
• Payments: prepare information and checks needed for internal approvals.
• Reporting: produce summaries and document multi-currency monitoring procedures.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• You are studying finance, treasury, economics or international business.
• You understand cash flows and the basics of exchange rates and currency risk.
• You are comfortable with Excel and handling financial data.
• You work accurately and respect review and approval procedures.
• You are comfortable communicating in English. French is an asset for collaboration with French-speaking colleagues and audiences.
• You can work collaboratively, seek feedback and suggest practical improvements.
