Job summary

School District 72 (Campbell River) is seeking a Student Wellness and Homestay Advisor to support international students and host families, promoting health, wellbeing, and intercultural adaptation.

Reporting to the Manager of International Student Programs, the role includes coordinating homestay arrangements, providing resources, and partnering with schools to ensure a safe, supportive student experience.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in a field related to student wellbeing or youth services.
• Five years of related experience working with children and youth.
• Background in psychology and development across cultures.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support health and wellness needs of international students and host families.
• Build positive relationships with students and host families to foster open communication.
• Coordinate homestay arrangements and screening of host families.
• Maintain records and contribute to program evaluation and reporting.
