Job summary

Development and Peace — Caritas Canada is seeking an Administrative and Financial Monitoring Officer for a six-month, full-time term in Montreal. The role focuses on ensuring administrative and financial monitoring of International Programs projects and supporting compliance with donor requirements.

Reporting to the Director and the Administrative and Budgetary Oversight Officer, you will manage budgets, payouts, and reporting templates, maintain records, and coordinate with local partners to

Qualifications

• DEC in accounting or administration or the equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business administration is an asset.
• Proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written.
• Experience in donor reporting and international programs is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of accounting and budgeting processes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor administrative and financial procedures in coordination with oversight.
• Prepare project documents, budgets, and financial reports per donor requirements.
• Consolidate financial reports from partners and ensure compliance.
• Archive and organize administrative and financial information.
• Ensure tendering and purchasing processes comply with policies.
• Coordinate centralisation of accounting documents and supporting records.
