Health Match BC seeks a geriatric physician to support the Geriatrics program at the new North Island Hospital in Campbell River. The division serves Vancouver Island with in-patient and out-patient geriatrics, working with interdisciplinary teams. There are no on-call duties under a clinical service contract.
As soon as possible start date, with opportunities for clinical teaching of learners and affiliation with the University of British Columbia Island Medical Program.
The Division of Geriatric Medicine consists of a team of 11 Geriatricians working across Vancouver Island serving a population of 750,000. In Campbell River, the new North Island Hospital is a state of the art facility with an elder-friendly design to meet unique needs of seniors.
The Geriatric service provides clinical support to a robust service including in-patient and out-patient consultation and follow-up. Physicians work with dedicated interdisciplinary teams in most areas, including a geriatric psychiatrist in Campbell River. There are no “on call” duties with attractive remuneration under a clinical service contract. The Division of Geriatrics is affiliated with the University of British Columbia Island Medical Program, and supports clinical teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate learners.
