Job summary

PwC Canada is seeking an Internal Audit Senior Manager to drive assurance and advisory services, supervise multi‑client engagements, and lead teams across Governance and Internal Controls. You will leverage GenAI and Alteryx to enhance testing and automation, while shaping risk-based engagements and value for clients.

The role emphasizes leadership, client relationships, and delivery excellence in a Canadian context, with a strong focus on regulatory compliance and staff development.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing internal auditing and regulatory compliance (SOX/NI 52-109) in Mining, Retail, Manufacturing, or Utilities.
• Experience overseeing multiple client engagements with varying size and complexity.
• Experience identifying opportunities to improve delivery, quality and efficiency.
• Bachelor's degree minimum.
• Consulting/advisory experience.
• CA, CPA, CIA, CISA designations preferred.
• Experience in all aspects and phases of the internal audit life cycle.
• Experience with leading and/or responding to Requests for Proposals.
• Fluent in Spanish would be an asset.

• Client Expectations: Be a driver and subject matter expert in our assurance and advisory services through Internal Audit functions, Governance and Internal Controls (SOX/NI 52-109), Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) programs, third-party relationships, and regulatory compliance. Analyze and assess clients’ business processes and systems – including GenAI – (i.e., security, computer operations, change management and SDLC) to help management understand and address business objectives, risks, controls, and improvement opportunities. Utilize GenAI and data analytics (Alteryx) to automate tasks and test steps. Anticipate stakeholder needs, and develop and discuss potential solutions, even before the stakeholder realizes they are required.
• Market Expectations: Focus on the market to identify and build trusted client relationships and generate new business opportunities with both new and existing clients. Develop proposals and overseeing presentations for engagement opportunities.
• People Expectations: Navigate the complexities of global teams and engagements. Develop staff to progress in their careers. Oversee learning and development initiatives and performance management. Initiate open and honest coaching conversations at all levels.

What You’ll Bring

Here’s what we look for:

• Experience in managing internal auditing and regulatory compliance (SOX/NI 52-109) in the Mining, Retail, Manufacturing, or Utilities sectors.
• Experience overseeing and managing multiple client engagements (with various size, scope and complexity), overseeing local and national technical or industry training.
• Experience identifying and implementing opportunities to improve on delivery, quality and efficiency.
• Minimum Bachelor's Degree.
• Consulting/advisory experience.
• CA, CPA, CIA, CISA designations preferred.
• Experience in all aspects and phases of the internal audit life cycle (strategic/annual planning, stakeholder relationship management, audit planning and execution, reporting and performance management).
• Experience with leading and/or responding to Requests for Proposals.
• Strong commitment to providing excellence in client service and a demonstrated ability to produce high‑quality results.
• Fluent in Spanish would be an asset.

This position ensures continuity and upholds our standards of excellence following the departure of a valued team member. The salary range for this position is $128,900 - $178,900. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm‑wide achievements.
