Job summary

Holt Renfrew is seeking a Manager, Internal Audit and Risk Advisory on a 14-month contract to drive the audit plan and provide independent assurance across financial and operational activities. You will lead audits, analyze root causes, and deliver practical risk mitigation guidance to improve controls.

The role requires a post-secondary degree and professional designation (CA/CPA/CGA/CMA), with 5+ years in public accounting or industry audits.

Qualifications

Post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
CA, CPA, CGA or CMA designation.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a public accounting role or auditing experience in industry.
Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills with the ability to get things done.
Proactive and a self-starter; a team player who is able to act as both a leader and an individual contributor as required.

Responsibilities

Plan and oversee the internal audit plan, including audits and special projects.
Build collaborative relationships with management to analyze issues and provide practical solutions.
Evaluate internal controls and design tests to promote best practices in internal control.
Meet with stakeholders to review issues and spread best practices.
Chair meetings and review finalization of reports at draft and completion stages.
Oversee special projects and 3rd party resources to ensure audits are completed to standard.
Ensure compliance with privacy policies, regulations, and cyber security measures.
Lead and retain a high performing team with development plans and succession planning.
