Job summary

Huawei Canada’s Noah’s Ark lab in Montreal is offering an internship position for a Researcher to design and implement novel LLM-based agent architectures for planning and decision-making. You will explore memory, reflection, and continual learning while evaluating experiments and driving insights.

The ideal candidate is a PhD/Master’s student in CS with hands-on agent-system experience, knowledge of RL, ReAct, CoT, and strong Python/PyTorch skills, plus excellent communication and collaboration

Qualifications

  • Currently a PhD or Master’s student in computer science or related field.
  • Hands-on project experiences on building agent systems for planning and reasoning.
  • Familiar with reinforcement learning (RL), ReAct (Reasoning and Acting), and Chain-of-Thought (CoT), tool calling.
  • Strong AI/ML coding skills in Python; experienced with PyTorch.
  • Good communication skills, willingness to collaborate and self-motivated.

Responsibilities
