Job summary

IMCO, located in downtown Toronto, invites undergraduate and master's students for a 4-month summer internship (May–August 2027) in Real Estate investment management. You will support financial modelling, market research, asset monitoring, and help the portfolio team with ad-hoc analyses.

Our program includes one-on-one mentoring, career guidance, skill workshops, industry guest speakers, and social events.

Qualifications

• Functional understanding of Real Estate Investment, Accounting, and Valuation principles.

Responsibilities

• Support financial modelling and property-level analysis, including cash flow forecasting, valuation, and underwriting in Excel and ARGUS.
• Conduct market, sector, and comparable research to support investment decisions and portfolio strategy.
• Assist the Real Estate team across investments, portfolio management, and priority workstreams.
• Develop, generate, and collate periodic analyses to support portfolio requirements.
• Monitor real estate assets through the investment lifecycle and report on asset status.

We are looking for a highly motivated student to join our team from May to August 2027 for the summer term! Our Intern Program is designed to support the development of students and recent graduates for future positions by offering one-on-one mentoring, peer and experiential learning, internal training programs, and much more. We are currently accepting applications for undergraduate and master's level students or recent graduates seeking the opportunity to work in the investment management space. We are currently accepting applications for undergraduate students who have completed 2nd, 3rd or 4th year and are seeking the opportunity to work in the real estate investment management space.

Responsibilities Include:

• Support financial modelling and property-level analysis, including cash flow forecasting, valuation analysis, performance attribution, and other ad-oc underwriting work in both Excel and ARGUS.
• Conduct market, sector, and comparable research to support investment decisions, asset reviews, and broader portfolio strategy.
• Assist the Associate Portfolio Managers and broader Real Estate team across investments, portfolio management, and other priority workstreams.
• Develop, generate, and collate periodic and ad-oc analysis to support portfolio requirement.
• Support real estate asset monitoring throughout the investment lifecycle and provide status updates on assets within the portfolio and competing properties.

The base salary range for this position is CAD $45,000 to $65,000. The placement within the range is determined by the role and assessment of the candidate’s year of study and relevant work experience.
