Reporting to a Trader on Securities Lending, you will sit on a fast-paced front-office desk managing inventory across our lending book. This isn't a shadow position, you’ll take direct ownership of day-to-day desk operations and build high-visibility solutions that shape how we scale.
Wealthsimple’s Securities Lending desk processes a high volume of trades and returns per day. You will play a mission-critical role in managing this volume while driving automation projects (using SQL, Google Apps Script, and Sheets) that optimize revenue flows, eliminate manual friction, and directly impact desk profitability. This is an 8-month term that will run from January 11, 2027- Aug 27, 2027.

Base salary range: For this role, candidates located in Canada can expect a base salary range, described in the posting. Actual compensation is determined based on skills, experience, and role level. Exceptional candidates may be considered above the top of the range, and pay can increase quickly for those who make a big impact in the role.
Your current year of study and number of past internship terms will determine your salary band. Actual compensation within each band is based on skills, experience, and academic performance. Exceptional candidates may be considered above the top of their year's range.
