Job summary

Paladin Security seeks an Intermediate Systems Administrator to join our Corporate IT team. You will manage Windows Server environments, Active Directory and Azure AD, and collaborate on cloud, automation, and security initiatives across Canada and the U.S.

With 3+ years in IT operations, you’ll support virtualization, storage, backups, and documented processes while contributing to business continuity and modernization efforts. This is a hybrid/remote role based in Ontario.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Systems Administration, Infrastructure Support, or IT Operations.
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Active Directory.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of networking fundamentals.
• Experience with PowerShell or other scripting/automation tools.
• Assets: Nutanix, Veeam, Teams Phone, Intune, SQL Server, Five9.

Responsibilities

Intermediate Systems Administrator(Information Technology)

Paladin Security is seeking an Intermediate Systems Administrator to join our Corporate IT team. This role is ideal for a systems professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, improving infrastructure, and working with modern Microsoft, cloud, and virtualization technologies. As a key member of the Infrastructure team, you'll work closely with IT leadership to support and enhance enterprise systems serving users across Canada and the United States. You'll be involved in both day-to-day operations and strategic projects, with opportunities to expand your expertise in cloud computing, automation, cybersecurity, and enterprise infrastructure. What You’ll Do

Infrastructure & Operations

• Administer and support enterprise Windows Server environments
• Manage Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Microsoft 365 services
• Support virtualization platforms, storage systems, and backup solutions
• Monitor infrastructure health, performance, and availability
• Plan and implement system upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities
• Participating in business continuity and disaster recovery initiatives
• Plan and implement office build or relocation
• Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues
• Partner with the Service Desk to resolve infrastructure-related incidents
• Troubleshoot server, cloud, networking, and Microsoft 365 issues
• Work with vendors and technology partners to resolve problems and implement solution

Security & Compliance

• Apply security best practices across all systems and deployments
• Investigate cybersecurity alerts and respond to incidents
• Support Zero Trust architecture principles and implementation

Cloud Security & Automation

• Support and maintain Azure and hybrid cloud services
• Apply security best practices across systems and services
• Assist with security investigations and remediation efforts
• Develop scripts and automation to improve operational efficiency
• Contribute to infrastructure modernization and continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures
• Communicate changes and maintenance activities to stakeholders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects and improvement

Required Experience

• 3+ years of experience in Systems Administration, Infrastructure Support, or IT Operations
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Active Directory
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
• Working knowledge of networking fundamentals
• Experience with PowerShell or other scripting/automation tools

Experience with any of the following is considered an asset:

• Nutanix or other virtualization platforms
• Veeam Backup & Replication
• Microsoft Teams Phone
• Microsoft Endpoint Manager / Intune
• SQL Server administration
• Five9 or similar contact center technologies

Education & Certifications

• Degree, diploma, certification, or equivalent practical experience in Information Technology or Computer Science
