Job summary

TBT Engineering seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead and contribute to HVAC and plumbing projects for commercial and institutional settings. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, provide technical leadership and mentor junior staff, while ensuring compliance with standards and regulators.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree, P.Eng. registration, and 10+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and P.Eng. registration required.
• 10+ years of experience in mechanical design, analysis and project execution.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit MEP; strong knowledge of codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute mechanical engineering projects including design, analysis and implementation of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and industrial systems.
• Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, calculations and project documentation.

Position Description

Lead and contribute to a wide range of Mechanical Engineering projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic and growth-oriented environment. Apply advanced technical knowledge in the planning, design, and delivery of HVAC and Plumbing solutions for commercial and institutional settings. Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and quality oversight while supporting the development of junior staff and ensuring projects are executed efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.

Position Responsibilities

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise in Mechanical Engineering, supported by a degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution and registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.). The role requires 10+ years of relevant experience in mechanical system design, analysis, and project execution. Candidates should possess proficiency with design and modeling software including AutoCAD and Revit MEP, as well as a thorough understanding of applicable codes, standards, and industry practices. Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills are essential, with proven experience mentoring technical staff and managing multidisciplinary projects.

This position is classified as full time. Rate of pay will be commensurate with related experience and qualifications ($125,840.00 per year +).
