A leading engineering firm in Ontario is seeking to hire a Civil Engineer with a Bachelor's degree and over 8 years of experience to join their road and highways team. The role involves preparing plans, managing project specifications, and interfacing with clients. Ideal candidates are proficient in engineering software like MicroStation and AutoCAD, and must hold a valid Professional Engineering license. This opportunity offers a chance to work on significant municipal projects with a focus on both linear infrastructure and site plan design.
What You Will Do: * Supports the roads and highways team on a broad range of municipal roadway, transit and facilities projects including the Scarborough Subway & Yonge North Extensions * Prepares plans and details with limited to high complexity in support of broader engineering activities and interdisciplinary design. * Gathers and records information to be used for cost estimating. * Prepares specifications. * Prepares minor technical reports or sections of larger reports. * Utilizes software to Develop 3D models and to develop construction plans. * Interface with clients and attendance at meetings is required. * Required to coordinate and manage civil engineering sub disciplines such as drainage, traffic, geotechnical, survey and others survey and others Education | Experience: Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering * Professional Engineering license required in Ontario. * 8+ years of applicable experience. * Experience with MicroStation & AutoCAD required. * Experience with InRoads, Open Roads Designer and/or Civil 3D * Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook). * Good oral and written communications skills. * Preferred experience in both linear infrastructure and site plan design Permanent Residents and Canadian Citizens will be given preference for this opportunity. Relocation is not being offered for this position.
