Job summary

DMC Mining Services in Sudbury, Ontario, is seeking an Intermediate Scheduler for a contract-based role based in Sudbury. The Scheduler will provide planning and scheduling support for mining projects, working with resource-loaded schedules, WBS, and man-hour budgets.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of scheduling experience, is proficient with P6 Primavera, and understands CPM. This on-site position offers comprehensive benefits and a competitive salary range commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in construction management, business administration, or engineering.
  • 5+ years of scheduling experience in a similar role.
  • Highly proficient with P6 Primavera software and scheduling.
  • Experience in the mining industry is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Use and interpret technical drawings and specifications in the establishment of project baseline data.
  • Develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
  • Use the Critical Path Method (CPM) to build network diagrams showing activity relationships.
  • Develop viable schedules for projects using duration estimates, an analysis of schedule constraints, and the relationships between activities.
  • Calculate the schedule using the Critical Path Method (CPM).
  • Conduct manpower planning and forecasting, including generating man-hour budgets.
  • Efficiently load, monitor, and generate reports utilizing P6 Primavera scheduling program.
  • Efficient working with cost-loaded schedules and earned value progress.
  • Conduct an analysis of the risks, assumptions, and scope to revise the time and resources estimates as required.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Summary

DMC is currently looking for Intermediate Schedulers to join our team on a contract basis, based in Sudbury, Ontario. The Scheduler will provide planning and scheduling services in support of operations for mining projects. They will be responsible for working with resource loaded schedules, work breakdown structures, as well as man-hour budgets.

  • Equivalent combination of training and technical work experience.
  • 5+ years of previous scheduling experience in a similar role.
  • Highly proficient with P6 Primavera software and scheduling.
  • Experience in the mining industry is an asset.
  • Ability to set and manage priorities with changing deadlines and priorities.
  • Ability to review and understand engineering, procurement, and construction schedule.
Additional Information
  • We are hiring to fill an existing vacancy.
  • Salary Range is expected to be between: $80,000 to $120,000 CAD + hourly incentive bonus.

  • This role will be performed on-site.
