This role involves some travel to job sites across Western Canada and a valid driving license is required.

Description :

As an Intermediate Project Manager, you will be reporting to the Operations Manager and will support projects that span multiple disciplines within our organization in order to deliver high quality projects to our clients.

Your experience in the industry as well as your project and people skills will enable you to make an impact within our team and demonstrate strong delivery to our customers.

Responsibilities :
  • Develop and manage all phases of project execution including scope, schedule, cost, and quality control.
  • Support with preparing and reviewing design deliverables such as PFDs, P&IDs, and general arrangement drawings from concept through to as-built.
  • Coordinate and interface with customers, vendors, and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure timely and accurate project delivery (deliverables and equipment supply).
  • Lead project planning, cost estimation, and risk management efforts.
  • Monitor project progress and provide detailed progress reports and forecast.
  • Maintain schedule delivery and inform accounting for invoice generation as requested
  • Participate in business development activities, proposal preparation, and project scoping discussions.
  • Review and approve project budgets, schedules, and resource plans.
  • Track and manage project costs to ensure delivery within approved budgets.
  • Implement project control measures and ensure all documentation and reports are complete and accurate.
  • Perform site visits and coordinate field work as needed, ensuring assembly and fabrication completion targets are met while maintaining safety standards.
Position Qualifications :
  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in project management or coordination, preferably in water treatment, oil and gas, mining, or industrial process projects.
  • Technical or engineering degree, diploma, or trade background in a related discipline.
  • Professional designation or eligibility (P.Eng., EIT, CET, PMP) is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of project execution across design, fabrication, and construction phases.
  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Excel).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada and hold a valid driver’s license with an acceptable abstract
What We’re Looking For :
  • Excellent project management skills including development and management of client relationships, scopes, budgets, and schedules.
  • Flexibility and the ability to manage change with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Experience with conflict management and resolution.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple complex projects with a proactive approach and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Technical background in planning, design, and construction of water and / or wastewater infrastructure in a related discipline preferred.
  • Industry experience in oil and gas, health care, mining, construction, and hydrogeology is an asset.
Working Conditions :
  • Some heavy lifting as required.
  • Short term travel (typically up to one week) to job sites is a condition of hire (Western Canada) and will occur on an as needed basis.
  • Alcohol and drug testing is required on some sites and is a condition of hire.
  • Drivers Abstract is required, and confirmation of insurability required.Technical / Trade School or Equivalent Experience Required.
  • Police Criminal records check may be required.
