Job summary

AWC Water Solutions Ltd. seeks an experienced intermediate panel technician for a permanent full-time role in our CSA certified Electrical Panel Shop. The candidate will assemble and wire control panels, follow schematics, and ensure compliance with installation instructions and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of relevant panel experience.
  • 3+ years as a junior panel technician.
  • CSA certified electrical panel shop experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble custom control panels.
  • Wire control panels following schematics.
  • Confirm wiring of components as completed.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean shop.
  • Review bill of materials for accuracy and flag errors.
  • Redline drawings during assembly.
  • Occasional field site work and travel.

AWC Water Solutions Ltd. specializes in providing integrated water, wastewater treatment plants and many other specialized industrial packaged solutions. We offer clients advanced in‑house engineering and design with 3D modeling, piloting, fabrication and machining, an in‑house control panel shop, and a full range of field services, allowing us to provide turn‑key solutions. In our busy industry, we consistently manage a strong and steady backlog of work extending well beyond a year, which ensures a secure and reliable workflow.

We are seeking a qualified intermediate panel technician to fill a permanent full‑time position in our CSA certified Electrical Panel Shop. The successful candidate must be a team player with technical experience in industrial electrical and control wiring, a great attention to detail, and the ability to identify and solve potential problems.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assemble custom control panels
  • Wire control panels following a basic set of electrical schematics
  • Confirm wiring of components as they are completed
  • Ensure manufacturers installation instructions and all code requirements are adhered to
  • Review bill of materials for accuracy and flag any errors immediately
  • Redline drawings as required during assembly
  • Review finished assemblies for accuracy
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a high standard of conduct in the shop
  • Input weekly timesheets accurately and in a timely manner
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Occasional field site work and associated travel as required
  • Other assigned duties as required
Qualifications

    • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience:
    • 3+ Years of relevant panel experience or equivalent
    • 3+ Years as a junior panel technician or equivalent
