Job summary

A leading environmental consulting firm in Canada is seeking a Hydrogeologist to provide hydrogeological assessments and design groundwater flow models. The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree in Geology or Environmental Sciences and 3-4+ years of experience in hydrogeology. Your Impact
  • Deliver hydrogeological assessments that inform sustainable water management strategies for communities and industries.
  • Design and implement conceptual and numerical groundwater flow models to support environmental impact assessments and operational water plans.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on projects in mining, oil & gas, aggregates, and beyond.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to building technical excellence within the team.
  • Engage directly with clients, preparing proposals and delivering impactful presentations.
The Skills That Set You Apart
  • Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Geology, Environmental Sciences, Civil, Geological or Environmental Engineering with a specialization in groundwater modelling; or equivalent analytical background.
  • 3–4+ years of applied experience in hydrogeology and groundwater modelling, with proficiency in tools such as FEFLOW, HydroGeoSphere, MODFLOW, SeepW.
  • Strong technical foundation in numerical modelling and hydrogeological assessments.
  • Registration or eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer or Geoscientist with EGBC.
  • Familiarity with GIS platforms, visualization tools (ArcGIS, Leapfrog, ParaView), and programming experience in Python; exposure to AI/machine learning is an asset.
Compensation

Salary range (in British Columbia): $74,600 – $102,600
