Main Responsibilities

• Perform general project duties, including preparing cost estimates, design drawings, specifications, and contract documents, under the supervision of a senior engineer or technologist.
• Develop, prepare, and review civil engineering design drawings, coordinating with the engineering design team.
• Conduct site inspections and materials testing as required.
• Manage construction contracts and liaise with clients and contractors.
• Coordinate designs and construction inspections with multiple disciplines.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.
• Member or eligibility for membership in ASET.
• 3-5 years of municipal civil engineering experience, including but not limited to:
• Water distribution systems.
• Wastewater collection systems.
• Stormwater management systems.
• Site grading.
• Transportation and structures including bridges and culverts.
• Demonstrated knowledge of general construction methods.
• Strong presentation, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented.
• Proficiency with Civil3D software.
