The Opportunity
McElhanney is looking for an Intermediate Civil Engineer who is a team player to join our growing team. In this role, you'll work on meaningful projects that directly impact development across local communities while building strong, lasting relationships along the way. You're someone who is goal-oriented, thrives in a collaborative environment, and enjoys supporting and mentoring junior technical staff.
As part of our engineering team, you'll contribute to a wide range of municipal and infrastructure projects, delivering practical, sustainable solutions that make a real difference. You'll take an active role in project delivery and coordination, working closely with clients, project teams, and senior leaders to achieve successful outcomes while continuing to develop your technical and project management expertise.
You'll collaborate with a diverse network of professionals, including civil, transportation, water/wastewater, geotechnical, and structural engineers, as well as geomatics and environmental specialists. With access to expertise across our regional offices, you'll benefit from the resources and opportunities of a large, multidisciplinary firm, combined with the supportive, close-knit culture of a local team.
Location: This role reports to the Prince George office; however, the successful candidate may be based out of any McElhanney office within British Columbia.

The salary range for this position is $95,000 to $140,000 per annum. McElhanney offers fair compensation that is commensurate with the individual’s education, experience, skills, and professional qualifications. The posted base salary/wage range is representative of the required level of qualifications and experience for the position as noted in the job posting. The salary offered will be based on the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.
