Job summary

Intact is transforming its testing landscape with an automated framework based on Selenium, Java 17+ and TestNG. The role targets an intermediate-to-senior automated test developer contributing to a nationwide billing solution implementation across provinces.

Qualified candidates have at least 3 years with Selenium/TestNG, 5 years in Java/Spring, and are bilingual. This hybrid role offers employee benefits, flexible work arrangements, and a focus on quality and collaboration.

• Must be eligible to work in Canada; bilingual.
• Experience with Guidewire and CI/CD integration.

Responsibilities

About the role

Be part of a major transformation! Would you like to contribute to a technology project with a nationwide impact? We are deploying a new billing solution across all of Intact’s companies and provinces. We are looking for an intermediate-to-senior automated test developer who is passionate about software quality and test automation. You will contribute to the design and implementation of an automated testing framework based on Selenium, Java and TestNG, within the Guidewire BillingCenter environment. What you’ll do here:

• Define test plans, scenarios and scripts related to new features developed by the team.
• Develop and execute automated tests.
• Provide guidance on the use of Selenium.
• Add features to the application framework.
• Provide guidance on industry best practices.
• Analyze and manage issues.
• Contribute to the evolution of our testing practices.
• Estimate testing efforts.
• Collaborate with manual quality assurance testers, developers and business analysts.
• Build strong relationships with development and product teams to understand our product and all its intricacies.
• Identify gaps in test coverage and add new scenarios.

What you bring to the table:

• At least 3 years of experience with Selenium and TestNG.
• At least 3 years of experience in quality assurance and test automation.
• At least 5 years of experience and strong knowledge of modern versions of Java (Java 17+) and Spring.
• No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
• Bilingualism. Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.

Assets:

• Experience with Cucumber, JMeter and/or Git.
• Knowledge of Jira and Confluence.
• ISTQB® certification.
• Knowledge of the Gosu programming language.
• Experience integrating automated tests into a continuous integration and continuous deployment pipeline.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Knowledge of the billing and collections domain.
• Experience with Guidewire.
• A committed, open-minded, autonomous team player motivated by success.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to synthesize information.
