Job summary

Sephora Canada is seeking a Store Operations and Talent Manager for our Brampton location. You will lead staffing, scheduling, and onboarding of Beauty Advisors, and ensure Sephora’s standards are consistently met.

Reporting to the Store Director, you will manage a team including Department Leads and Beauty Advisors, drive performance, payroll accuracy, and in-store execution while delivering an exceptional client experience.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of management experience in beauty, retail, or customer service.
• Previous experience recruiting, staffing, and hiring across store positions, including leadership.
• Proven ability to build high-performing teams and develop talent.
• Strong managerial courage for difficult conversations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficient with Windows, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Talent Champion: conduct final interviews and oversee recruitment processes.
• Training & Development: manage store-wide training strategy with Education partners.
• Scheduling & Payroll: oversee weekly schedules and payroll processes.
• Performance Assessment: conduct annual reviews and manage performance processes.
• Operational Excellence: manage inventory, shipping, receiving, returns, tester and supply control, and cycle counts.
• Entrepreneurial Spirit: monitor store sales, staffing, and controllable expenses.

As the nextManager of Store Operations and Talentat Sephora, you will lead the people and operational functions of your store. In this key leadership role,you’lloversee staffing and zoning,trainingand onboarding of Beauty Advisors, store scheduling, and the consistent execution of Sephora’s operational standards. Reporting directly to the Store Director and collaborating closely with the Client Experience and Beauty Services Managers, you will also manage a team that typically includes Department Leads and Beauty Advisors.

Whatyou’llbe doing as a Store Operations and Talent Manager at Sephora –

Talent Champion.Conduct final interviews for all key positions. Utilize the online applicant tracking system as needed to source, select,and hire candidates.

Training & Development.Manage all training-related functions within the store. In conjunction with the Store Director and Education partnersdevelopand execute thestore'son-going training strategy.

Scheduling & Payroll.Oversee weekly schedule creation and approve time-off requests. Manage the store’s payroll process, ensuring it aligns with company, regional, and district guidelines, and issubmittedontimeso team members are paid accurately and promptly.

Performance Assessment & Development.Write and deliver annual performance reviews for direct reports in a complete andtimelymanner, as well as oversee the process for the entire store. Participate in the management of all performance management situations within the team. Ensuretimelyfeedback for improvement is delivered and followedup onas necessary.

Operational Excellence.Oversee all store operations, ensuring processes are executed to company standards. Manage inventory, including shipping, receiving, returns, tester and supply control, and cycle counts—all completed accurately and on time within company guidelines

Entrepreneurial Spirit.Be seen as the expert bydemonstratinga strong understanding of thestore'ssales performance and staffing and payroll as well as all other controllable expenses within the store.

• You have 2-4 years of management in the beauty, retail, or customer service industryequivalentinternal experience.
• You have previousexperience recruiting, staffing,and hiring across all store positions, including leadership.
• You have a proven abilityto createhigh-performingteams and can easilyidentifyin-store talent and develop them throughout their career journey.
• You have no difficultymaintainingcomposure andpossessstrong managerial courage to have those tough conversations when needed.
• You have excellent verbal/writtencommunicationskills and the ability to influence business partners at all levelsclearly and concisely.With experience in Windows, Word, and Excel.

Location, Availability, and Physical Requirements-

On-site: You willwork at the location specified in the job posting.

Scheduling: Flexibility is key! We need you to be available during evenings, weekends, and holidays when our clients are eager to shop and explore.

Physical Requirements:Our stores are a fragrance-filled environment. You must be ableto bend and stretch to stock shelves, as well as lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

The compensation ranges betweenCAD$54,800.00 - CAD$68,500.00. In addition, you may be eligible for performance-based bonus opportunities, a competitive benefits program, and robust learning and development initiatives aimed at promoting employee support and recognition. The final pay offered will depend on various factors, including but not limited to the actual qualifications and experience of the individual, and any additional non-discriminatory, legitimate business factors relevant to the position and/or location.
