Salary: $62,452 per annum (full-time equivalent), prorated based on a 20-hour work week.

Post-secondary education in a related field and a minimum of two years of relevant previous work experience are required for this position. A degree or diploma in public relations or communications would be an asset. Strong writing, editing, communications, project and event management skills are essential. The ideal candidate will also have a working knowledge of basic budget management procedures. Proficiency with MS Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint is a must, while experience with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop would be an asset. The successful candidate will be a team player with demonstrated leadership and relationship management skills, organized and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, while ensuring deadlines are met. Candidates should be results and solutions oriented, with a proven ability to take initiative.
The Communications and Marketing team is responsible for the delivery and implementation of strategic marketing, advertising, media relations and communications plans and that advance the University's strategic goals. The Communications Coordinator and Office Administrator reports to the Director of Communications and Marketing, and contributes to the team's success by providing communications support and project management, as well as overall office support. This is a temporary, part-time opportunity (20 hours per week) with an anticipated term of 12 months to cover a maternity leave.
