Job summary

The Government of Nova Scotia invites applications for a 12-month internship in Intergovernmental Policy & Corporate Services in Halifax. Reporting to the Director, you will contribute to intergovernmental relations, corporate planning and reporting, and government operations.

Qualifications include recent graduation from a post-secondary institution, strong research and writing abilities, and proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications. A related degree is an asset.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate from a post-secondary institution (within last 3 years).
• Strong research, writing and communication skills.
• Ability to organize work and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and sound judgment.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate interdepartmental committees, take minutes, manage documents.
• Update departmental intranet content and manage records.
• Support corporate planning and reporting requirements.
• Track strategic plan milestones and deliverables.
• Prepare briefing notes, reports, and presentations for senior officials.
• Assist with project coordination and departmental planning.
