Job summary

NGE Canada seeks an experienced Interface Manager for the Connect 6ix project in Toronto. You will coordinate interface management across railway and civil disciplines, ensuring ICD/IDD tools are applied consistently and deliverables are issued on time.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in interface management in railway and major civil projects.
• Experience with interface development and tools like ICDs/IDDs or System Engineering techniques.
• Experience in railway and civil works; design interfaces desirable.
• Railway knowledge including civil, stations, depots, and rail systems.
• Ability to write accurate and detailed reports.
• Ability to chair meetings and make decisions.
• Strong communicator and able to build relationships across internal teams and supply chain.
• Ability to work in a complex, multicultural environment.

Job description

The Connect 6ix project is a consortium‑led contract responsible for delivering the Rolling Stock, Systems, Operations and Maintenance (RSSOM) package for the Ontario Line — a new 15.6 km rapid transit subway running across Toronto. This includes the trains, signaling, communications systems, and the operations and maintenance facility. Connect 6ix will also operate and maintain the line for 30 years. https://connect6ix.ca/

The NGE adventure

• Enforces safety and evacuation procedures, leading by example (responsible driving, wearing PPE on-site, etc.).
• Promotes a preventive approach and ensures the health and safety of team members (RPS, working conditions, etc.).
• Manage the implementation of the interface management process led by the CJV with the rest of the OL stakeholders, and, to keep the Interface Matrix and Interface Control Documents updated.
• Liaise with the project team and discipline engineers on all interface matters and/or help expedite the development of the interface management process between project stakeholders.
• Liaise with the Document Control team to assist consolidation of the interface management records for all project packages.
• Organize, control, and follow up processes to have all deliverables timely issued by the different stakeholders for all interfaces, and to control the quality of these deliverables during
• Attend and lead all interface-related meetings, including interface workshops, HAZID / HAZOP meetings, meetings with different OL project stakeholders, etc. to ensure the permanent control of the battery limits.
• Responsible for the readiness and provide support to organize all internal/external audits required (PR, Third parties, Partners)

The ideal profile

For this position, the ideal candidate should have the following skills, experience and knowledge:

• Degree-level qualification in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience in interface management in railway and major civil projects or demonstrable experience in different design disciplines is required.
• Experience with interface development and in applying various interface management tools (e.g. ICDs and IDDs) and/or System Engineering techniques.
• Experience in Railway and major civil engineering works and experience in design and interfaces desirable.
• Preference for railway knowledge including but not limited to civil, stations, depots, and rail systems.
• Ability to write accurate and detailed reports.
• Ability to chair meetings and take decisions.
• A good communicator and able to build positive working relationships, internally and with the supply chain.
• Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment

The expected salary range for this position is $90K to $110K annually. In addition to base pay, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health and dental coverage, retirement savings, paid time off, and other programs designed to support employee well‑being.
