This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

About the Position

This is Interdisciplinary Supervisory GS-13 position with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Tulsa District, Construction Division. There are two Vacancies located at Tinker Air Force Base, OK.

Duties
  • You will serve as Resident Engineer at an Area Office.
  • Plans, coordinates and directs the accomplishment of the various phases of the construction program at the assigned projects.
  • You will serve as the Administrative Contracting Officer (ACO) for the projects assigned to the Resident Office.
  • Represents the Contracting Officer and area engineer in negotiations with contractors.
  • Supervises and coordinates office activities.
  • Makes inspections of contractors' operations.
Requirements
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) up to 25%
  • Obtain and Maintain valid state driver's license.
  • One year Supervisory Probationary period is required.
  • Obtain and Maintain a State Registration as a Professional Architect/Engineer. (At the time of Application).
  • Submission of Financial Disclosure Report prior to placement/appointment.
  • This is a Defense Acquisition Workforce (AWF) position. The incumbent must meet the DoDI 5000.66 requirements.
  • Foundational Career Level Certification or Contracting Professional Certification must be met within 3 years.
