Job summary

Enverus seeks a motivated Intern for the Enverus Intelligence Research team with a focus on Power Markets. Based in our Calgary office, this 12-month role begins January 2027 and offers exposure to data integrity, trend analysis and investment research.

You will collaborate with engineers, financial analysts and geologists to deliver actionable insights for banks, funds and energy companies, while developing strong analytical and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel.
• Proficiency with Python and data manipulation.
• Familiarity with programming concepts to manage large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Aggregate, clean and analyze large data sets to identify trends and opportunities.
• Update, maintain and improve databases critical for formulating opinions on assets.
• Participate in client calls, leveraging Enverus solutions to answer questions.
• Maintain forecasting models using SEC filings, investor documents and datasets.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as an Intern on our Enverus Intelligence Research team (EIR) with a focus on Power Markets. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, financial analysts, and geologists to ensure data integrity, analyze trends and publish actionable investment research for investment banks, private equity, hedge funds, institutional investors as well as energy companies. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical and communication skills and excels in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

This full-time role is based out of our Calgary office. We look forward to welcoming the successful candidate for a 12-month term beginning in January 2027.

Performance Objectives

• Aggregate, clean and analyze large data sets to identify trends, characterize opportunities, value assets and analyze market activity using internal workflows built in Enverus Prism™.
• Update, maintain and improve proprietary databases critical for formulating opinions on assets including well production data, renewable projects and financial data.
• Participate in conference calls with clients and prospects, leveraging or demonstrating Enverus Intelligence™ and Enverus Core™ solutions to help answer some of the most challenging questions facing the energy industry and energy investors today.
• Maintain forecasting models using SEC filings, investor documents, transcripts, press releases, and government and industry datasets.

Competitive Candidate Profile

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a specific focus on Excel
• Proficiency with Python and Data Manipulation
• Familiarity with using programming concepts to manage and analyze large, complex datasets.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, strong attention to detail, self-motivated with a strong work ethic
• A demonstrated passion for the energy sector
