Job description
Job Description

Do you have aerospace engineering experience, have you worked in the aviation domain, in the interior systems and would you like to progress and develop new skills? Then this job is for you!

The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for a Systems Integrator, Entertainment and Connectivity to join our Cabin Systems team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada).

As Cabin Systems Integrator, you will be responsible for integrating our supplier’s In‑Flight Entertainment (IFE) or In‑Flight Connectivity (IFC) systems and the In‑Seat Power Supply System (ISPSS) into the Airbus A220 aircraft.

The integrator role is to ensure that our suppliers’ systems comply with Airbus specifications, aeronautical certification requirements, and quality standards. You will oversee the design of systems installation in the aircraft, coordinating the work of various specialists as structural, electrical, installation methods, and other specialists. This role requires technical expertise in onboard networks, software and hardware architectures, and supplier management.

The team organization is established to promote cross‑collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.

Your working environment

The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is headquartered in Mirabel, in the greater Montreal area, where the vibrant city of Montreal is just a stone’s throw away. Known for its peaceful and safe environment, the region offers a high quality of life for younger or experienced professionals and families, perfectly balancing career opportunities and outdoor activities that makes it a truly special place to call home.

This position may require traveling outside the country.

How we care for you
  • Financial rewards: Attractive salary, annual bonus, group insurance plan, pension plan and share purchase plan.
  • Work / Life Balance: A hybrid working policy (based on operational needs), on‑site cafeterias and a highly competitive holiday policy.
  • Wellbeing/Health: Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Discount Program, on‑site Medical Service, access to a public shuttle service between Laval (Montmorency metro station) and Mirabel, and a carpooling application.
  • Individual development: Great upskilling opportunities and development prospects with unlimited access to +10 000 e‑learning courses to develop your employability, certifications, accelerated development programmes, national and international mobility.
Your challenges
1. Integration and system design
  • Define or review detailed IFE, IFC and ISPSS technical specifications and interfaces against customer and regulation requirements.
  • Design and validate network architectures (cabling, fiber optics, power distribution) specific to connectivity, entertainment, and seat power systems.
  • Coordinate integration activities with equipment suppliers (OEMs) and internal engineering teams (electrical, structural, avionics, methods, etc.).
  • Conduct trade‑off studies and impact analyses for any system modifications.
2. Tests and Certification
  • Develop or adapt technical requirements for production testing.
  • Develop and execute test plans on the test bench or on the aircraft.
  • Support certification activities by ensuring that suppliers deliver technical documentation and proof of conformity for the submitted systems.
  • Quickly analyze and resolve anomalies and technical issues encountered during integration and production.
3. Technical and Document Management
  • Analyze system modification requests and ensure their integration or disposition.
  • Ensure traceability and complete documentation of system configurations, modifications, and validations (electrical diagrams, installation manuals).
  • Manage support requests from production and fleet support teams.
Education and Experience
  • University degree (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in embedded systems integration, ideally in aeronautics or a complex engineering sector.
  • Experience with IFE/IFC system integration and support is a strong asset.
Technical Skills
  • Mastery of avionics system architecture concepts and the cabin environment.
  • Knowledge of onboard networks (Ethernet, protocols, Wi‑Fi, fiber optics).
  • Familiarity with aeronautical certification standards and regulations (Part 25, DO‑160, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and engineering documents.
  • Knowledge of CAD tools (e.g., Catia V5) for 3D design and physical integration studies is preferred.
General Skills
  • Bilingualism (French and English), both oral and written, is essential.
  • Project management and inter‑team coordination skills.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative and good technical judgment.
  • Strong communication skills, problem‑solving skills, and attention to detail.
