Job Description
The Integrated Production Manager is a solution-oriented individual with a strong focus on the flawless execution of the creative product. Their main responsibility is to schedule, purchase, and supervise the delivery of all print and digital-related materials.
They must ensure that the best print and digital practices are achieved to meet the expectations of the creative and design teams, while keeping the project on time and on budget.
They will brief the team with complete specifications and timelines for each project, and coordinate with external vendors and media companies to arrange printing and delivery in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the production of print and digital content; source and provide specifications for correct file preparation.
- Develop and manage project timelines, scope, and budgets.
- Provide comprehensive specifications and obtain competitive bids for all print estimates.
- Prepare print/digital estimates and billing, approve invoices, and process them for The Pub Studio.
- Work with Prepress and Retouching to ensure images are prepared with the correct profiles.
- Purchase all production materials for agency projects. These projects can range from collateral items and out-of-home (OOH) advertising to brand activations and digital.
- Purchase and manage royalty-free and rights-managed assets.
- Work with Creative and Client/Client Services to assist with photography shoots.
- Issue internal studio and external vendor purchase orders on a timely basis.
- Review proofs with the creative team, interpret their revisions, and determine the best method for timely execution.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Client/Client Services, providing updates and ensuring project deliverables meet the requirements.
- Collaborate with and guide cross-functional teams, including graphic artists, designers, developers, proofreaders, retouchers, and freelancers.
- Notify the Client Services group of any financial scope revisions to estimates.
- Maintain detailed project records.
- Attend press approvals as required.
- Attend daily status meetings with the Studio team.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of advertising agency or marketing production experience.
- 1–2 years of pharmaceutical experience is an asset.

Technical Ability:
- Strong knowledge of the print process, prepress, and printing methods.
- Strong knowledge of the digital process and required deliverables.
- Strong negotiation skills (in person and remotely).
- Knowledge of Adobe CS, Figma, Flexitive, and Jira.
- A good understanding of font licensing and management.
- Familiarity with direct mail (including lettershop).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Professional Skills:
- Effectively present budgets/ideas and production-related issues.
- Address agency and client challenges as they arise.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
- Be solution oriented.
- Manage costs on an ongoing basis.
- Prepare accurate ‘ballpark’ estimates.
- Provide creative input to the production project.
- Manage paperwork and documentation accurately.
- Communicate effectively – ability to keep all stakeholders abreast of changes to project scope.
- Manage timelines and expectations using excellent decision-making skills.
- Pharmaceutical experience is an asset.
