Job summary

Connective Support Society is seeking a dedicated worker to provide casework and enhanced support for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness in a tertiary care setting. You will collaborate with hospital, health, and community partners to stabilize symptoms and support re-integration.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed care, service planning, and advocacy within a unionized team. Shifts include mornings, evenings, overnights, in a dynamic residential environment in Maple Ridge

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in psychology, behavioural sciences, social work, community social services, or criminology.
• Two years of related experience or equivalent.
• Ability to establish and maintain therapeutic rapport with service users.
• Knowledge of de-escalation strategies and crisis response.
• Understanding of the Mental Health Act and community resources.

Responsibilities

• Provide casework and on-site support under supervision of the Program Manager.
• Collaborate with health teams and community partners to support service users.
• Document goals, service plans, progress reports, and case notes.
• Assist with meal planning, activities, and medication management as needed.
• Ensure safety and compliance with policies and procedures.
